RPCB maintains a fund overseen by the deacons to be able to respond to congregational and other emergency needs. This fund is not part of the church budget but is maintained by designated contributions.
You have been extremely generous to the deacons’ fund over the years. In 2008 we have been able to distribute $7700 to our families with needs, appeals from other churches (both in the PCA and outside it), MNA, and disaster relief.
Due to the number of worthy needs, the fund is at its lowest point in over ten years. Some of the family needs are chronic and the holiday season often brings additional appeals to the deacons. We encourage you to prayerfully consider making a contribution to the deacons’ fund.
