November 10, 2013 – Morning Worship
Monday – Romans 15:22-29 (esp. vss. 22-24); II Corinthians 11:16-33; II Thessalonians 3:6-13
If you had to guess, what do you think Paul’s view of retirement would be? Why? What’s yours?
Tuesday – Romans 15:22-24; I Thessalonians 2:18; Acts 13:1-4
Paul is clearly making plans, plans that have been “hindered so often.” He also was led by the Spirit. Should he be making plans? Should we? Or should we be led by the Spirit?
Wednesday – Romans 15:23-24; II Samuel 7:1-17; Acts 5:17-32
In Romans 15:23-24, Paul’s plans showed that he was both flexible and persistent. How do those two qualities fit into your plans, both today and in the future?
Thursday – Exodus 18:13-27; Acts 11:19-26; Philippians 1:3-5; 4:14-16; II Timothy 4:11-13
Notice in these passages that service to the Lord is not something we do alone. We need one another for encouragement, help and even to meet our needs! Application to you?
Friday – I Corinthians 10:31; Ephesians 6:5-9; Colossians 3:17
See that we are to serve the Lord Jesus, glorify God, and love and serve our neighbor in all our callings and circumstances. No matter when or where. How do you do that?
Saturday – Genesis 50:15-21; Exodus 3:7-12; 4:10-17; I Samuel 16:1,6-13; Acts 9:1-19
Consider how God accomplishes His purposes and ours in ways, with people, and in circumstances we did not anticipate. How should that affect the way we live?
