April 3, 2011 – Morning Worship
Monday – II Timothy 4:6-8; Psalm 71; Daniel 3:8-18; Philippians 1:1-23
See that assurance of God’s redemption is clear in these passages. How can we have this assurance?
Tuesday – Psalms 42, 77; Luke 7:18-23; John 5:24; I John 11-13
Is assurance of salvation necessary for salvation? Why or why not?
Wednesday – Matthew 14:22-33; 26:69-75; Acts 2:21, 37-41; 4:11-12
See the difference in Peter’s assurance in these passages. What’s the difference?
Thursday – Mark 9:14:29; Romans 8:31-39
See here, in these passages, followers of Christ with varying degrees of assurance. Do you see yourself here?
Friday – Acts 9:1-19; Romans 7:7-25; II Timothy 1:12; 4:6-8
We could say that Paul’s prayer in Acts 9:11 is a prayer of faith and that his declarations in II Timothy 1 and 4 are examples of assurance, with Romans 7:7-25.
Saturday – Psalm 23; John 5:24; Acts 10:31; Romans 3
Bottom line – what is necessary for salvation? Where does assurance fit?
