How was Nebuchadnezzar’s dream supposed to function in his life? How was he supposed to respond? What is the application to your life?

What does true repentance look like? How does it affect your daily life?

What was Nebuchadnezzar’s real problem? Do you have that problem? What should you do about it?

The key to Nebuchadnezzar’s restoration seems to be connected to where he looked with his eyes. Why is that? What’s the lesson for us?

Notice that even in the midst of devastating judgment, the Lord gives reason for hope (i.e. “leave the stump”). What is our reason for hope?

In Daniel 2:24-28 we see the world’s and the believer’s view of humility and self promotion. What are the two views and why? Where do you fit?

From these passages describe God’s relationship with the nations of the world. How should that affect our daily lives?

What do these passages tell us about God’s sovereignty? How does God’s sovereignty help us face our daily challenges?

Using these passages and others like them, some theologians have described God’s sovereignty as a “humble sovereignty”. What do you think about that description? How might that apply to us?
