November 21, 2010 – Morning Worship
Monday – Matthew 6:9-13 (esp. vs. 13); Genesis 3; I Peter 5:8-9
Deliver us from evil – do you regularly pray this? Why or why not?
Tuesday – Ephesians 6:20; Matthew 4:1-11
Have these passages caused you to take evil and the Evil One more seriously?
Wednesday – Psalm 38; Hebrews 3:7-19; Romans 7:13
Scripture warns us to Consider the consequences of evil (sin); be aware of its “deceitfulness”, that sin would be shown to be sin! How can we remember this?
Thursday – Genesis 29; Daniel 6:1-13; Matthew 5:27-30
See how Joseph, Daniel and Jesus describe and respond to evil. How can we imitate them in our lives?
Friday – Psalm 119:65-72; Jeremiah 31:18-19; Luke 15:11-24; II Corinthians 4:17; Romans 6:23; Revelation 21:8
Anything’s better than sin, even affliction! Compare affliction and sin and see why affliction is better than sin. In fact, sin, unlike affliction, has nothing to commend it.
Saturday – Isaiah 43:1-21; Jeremiah 31:31-34; Romans 6:23; 8:26-39; James 4:7
Our safety and salvation, in the midst of all evil and the attacks of the evil one, are sure and certain as we trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
