January 31, 2010 – Morning Worship
Monday – Galatians 5:1-6; Exodus 16:1-3; Numbers 20:2-9
Christ has set us free to actually be free and not slaves. Why were the Galatians and Israelites tempted to go back to slavery? How does that apply to us?
Tuesday – Matthew 11:28-30; 27:51; Hebrews 4:14-16; 10:19-25; John 8:31-36; Romans 6:14
How are we free in Christ? Free from what? Free to do what? How does that affect your life?
Wednesday – John 13:1-15,34,35; I John 3, 4; Hebrews 12:3-11
How do we have confidence that Jesus loves us? When we doubt His love for us, what should we do?
Thursday – Deuteronomy 7:1-5; Ezra 4:1-5; Acts 15:1-11; Galatians 2:1-5; 5:2-4
How about faith in Christ and circumcision? Is that really so bad? A small compromise would bring peace! Why is this so important to Paul?
Friday – Genesis 17; Galatians 5:2-6
Let’s get this straight: circumcision was good and necessary for Abraham but not for the Galatians (or for us). What changed?
Saturday – Galatians 5:6; Matthew 5:43-48; Luke 10:25-37; James 2:14-26
What really counts is “only faith working through love.” What does that mean? How do we apply this in our everyday lives?
