November 23, 2014 – Morning Worship
Monday – Joshua 24 (esp. vss 14-28)
Read Joshua 24. What are the lessons and applications for us?
Tuesday – Joshua 24:14-28; Romans 12
How are Joshua 24:14-28 and Romans 12 alike? They both have a “therefore”, which tells us what? What is the application to your life?
Wednesday – Joshua 24:14b-15, 23; Exodus 20:3-4; Numbers 25:1-5; Matthew 6:24; 10:334-39; John 14:6; Acts 4:12
What do these passages teach us about the commitment God demands in His people? How does that affect your everyday life?
Thursday – Psalm 105; Isaiah 44:9-28; John 6:66-69; 14:7-14
How do these passages show us that to believe, obey and faithfully follow the Lord is the only logical response to God’s faithful- ness to His covenantal promises? Some argue that faith is not logical, it’s spiritual. What do you think?
Friday – Joshua 24:16-24; Judges 2:11-15; Jeremiah 2; Matthew 26:30- 35; 69-75
In Joshua 24:19-20 Joshua’s response to Israel’s profession of faith (vs. 18) seems surprising, inappropriate and maybe even rude. Why do you think he said that? How might is apply to our commitment to Christ?
Saturday – Genesis 31:43-53; Joshua 24:25-28; Isaiah 1:2; Micah 6:2; Hebrews 4:13
Notice the need for “witnesses” in these passages (i.e. heavens, earth, mountains, stones). Why? How does this apply to us in Christ’s church?
