September 7, 2014 – Morning Worship
Monday – Joshua 15
Read Joshua 15. Are there any specific applications for us as Christians?
Tuesday – Joshua 15:1–7; Genesis 12:1–7; 15:7–21
We see here a tedious list of boundaries for Judah’s allotment of the Promised Land. It was not tedious for Israel. Why not? How can we read it like Israel did and benefit from it?
Wednesday – Psalm 103; Romans 5:1–11; 8:31–39; 9:4–5; Matthew 6:25–33; Ephesians 1:3
See here in these passages lists describing God’s blessings to His people. How do they apply to you?
Thursday – Joshua 15:13–19; Exodus 23:30–31; Deuteronomy 7:17–24; Acts 5:17–32
Notice in these passages that faith in the Lord is not only talk, but also action. Think of examples of this truth in your life.
Friday – Joshua 15:16–17; I Samuel 17:24–27; Mark 10:17–31
Consider the attractive incentives offered for those who go to battle and step out in faith in obedience to God. Does this take away from faith? What’s the application for us?
God’s blessings, though spiritual, also include physical blessings, both partially now, and fully in heaven. How does that wonderful truth apply to us now in our daily lives?
