November 6, 2011 – Morning Worship

Monday Judges 17-18
What do these two chapters teach us about Israel without a king? How does it apply to us?

Tuesday Judges 17:6; Genesis 12:10-20; Proverbs 14:12; Jeremiah 17:9; Luke 12:13-21
What’s wrong with “everyone doing what is right in his own eyes”? How does it apply to you?

Wednesday Judges 17-18
Read these two chapters again. Notice that both Micah and the Danites believe that they are, and/or will be, blessed by God. Why? What do you think? What can we learn from this?

Thursday Judges 18:24; Isaiah 44:9-20; Acts 17:16-34
Gods that can be made and stolen! How absurd, ironic, even humorous! How does this apply to you?

Friday Exodus 32; Matthew 15:1-20; Acts 20:28-31; Hebrews 13:17; I Peter 5:14
One of the main themes in Judges and all of scripture is the danger and sin of false religion. What has God provided to protect His people from this danger?

Saturday Judges 17:3; Ezra 4:1-6; Acts 15:1-21
The false religion of Judges is not paganism per se, but syncretism (i.e. the mixing of paganism with the worship of the Lord). How do we do that today? How do we keep from doing that?
