May 17, 2009 – Morning Worship
Monday – Galatians 1:18-2:10 (esp. 1:22-2:2); Philippians 2:1-11
Look at Galatians 1:22-2:2. Do you see examples in these few verses of Paul’s humility, zeal, and commitment to serve and glorify Christ?
Tuesday – I Corinthians 7:1-24; Psalm 131
How can we learn to be content and to glorify God in the place and situation in which we are called?
Wednesday – Philippians 1; Esther 4
Whether I succeed and am exalted or fail and am humbled, may God be glorified! Can you say that? Why or why not?
Thursday – I Samuel 17; I Peter 2:13-25; I Corinthians 5:6, 15:33
How do we see the “power of example” in these passages? What kind of example are you?
Friday – I Samuel 18:1-16; John 3:22-30; James 4:1-12
How do we rejoice, rather than becoming jealous, when God does great things through or greatly blesses someone else?
Saturday – I Peter 5:1-11; John 13:1-20
“Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility towards one another.” How do we do that?
