October 16, 2011 – Morning Worship
Monday – Judges 16; Acts 9:1-22
God chose Samson to “begin to save Israel” from the Philistines. What do you think of God’s choice? How does it apply to you?
Tuesday – Judges 16:1, 4; II Samuel 11; Galatians 2:11-14
God’s servants can do some really sinful things. What can we learn from this?
Wednesday – II Samuel 12:1-15; Matthew 18:21-35; Luke 18:9-14
A lot of the stories, illustrations, and parables in Holy Scripture function as mirrors to show us what we are really like. The basic message is essentially the same in all of them. What is it?
Thursday – I Samuel 17; Psalm 74
When God and His name is dishonored, blasphemed, mocked, how do you feel? What do you think? How does it affect you? How should we respond?
Friday – Psalm 25; Romans 5:6-11; 7:21-25
Even in the midst of our sinfulness, faithlessness, and waywardness, we can still cry out to the Lord and he will hear. Is this true? How should this affect how we live?
Saturday – II Kings 5:1-14; John 4:1-42; 6:1-15
See more examples of God using unexpected and surprising people to glorify His name. Is this truth an encouragement to you? How so?
