November 11, 2012 – Morning Worship
Monday – Romans 8:29-30; Ezekiel 16:1-14
What does Romans 8:29-30 teach us about God? Any idea why it’s called the Golden Chain?
Tuesday – Ezekiel 37:1-14; Acts 9:1-22; Philippians 1:6
Our salvation does not depend on us (i.e. anything that we do, not even our faith! As important as that is). It depends upon God, from beginning to end. How do you respond to that truth?
Wednesday – Amos 3:2; Romans 3:1-10; Ephesians 2:1-3
God’s foreknowledge – many believe that means that God knows who will choose Him in the future. Read these passages. What do you think? What is God’s foreknowledge?
Thursday – John 7:37; 11:1-44; Matthew 11:28; Acts 13:48
There are two types of “calling” in the New Testament: general and external, to be distinguished from internal and specific. Which is which in these texts?
Friday – Romans 8:29-30; Zechariah 8:20-23; Acts 2:42-47; 4:1-4
In Romans 8:29-30 why does “calling” come between foreknowledge and predestination on the one hand, and justification and glorification on the other?
Saturday – Romans 8:29-30; Philippians 1:6; 3:21; I Kings 10
In Romans 8:29-30 why is “glorified” in the past tense? How does it apply to you?
