March 11, 2012 – Morning Worship
Monday – Romans 2:1-16; Jeremiah 2
Paul here (like Jeremiah) continues to press home the sinfulness of man, particularly Israel. Why does he go on so long? How can we apply this?
Tuesday – Romans 2:2; Genesis 18:22-25; Deuteronomy 32:3-4; Psalm 139; Hebrews 4:13
God’s judgments are perfect – why is that? All mankind will stand before Him for perfect justice. How does that affect you? Your life? Your witness?
Wednesday – Romans 2:4; Jeremiah 7:1-28; Acts 5:1-11
What does it mean to “presume on the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience”? What is the “purpose” of His kindness? How does this apply to us?
Thursday – Romans 2:5; Matthew 11:20-24; 25:14-30; II Timothy 4:8
In Romans 2:5 we learn that impenitence results in “storing up wrath for the day of judgment.” What does that mean? How should that affect the way we live?
Friday – Romans 2:6-16; Matthew 16:27; Luke 8:15; 18:9-14; Philippians 3:9
“He will render to each one according to his works” – whoa! I thought our sins are forgotten, remembered no more, etc. We are saved by grace, not works! What does Romans 2:6 mean for us? Does it apply to us?
Saturday – Romans 1:1-2:16; Psalm 19:1-6; Isaiah 61:10-11
Summarize Romans 1:1-2:16. What have you learned or been reminded of? How will it affect the way you live?
