How were the Reubenites and Gadites being “ruled” by their possessions? How are you tempted to serve riches?

Why did Moses accuse the “brood of sinful men” (v. 14) of following selfish desires for comfort (vv. 5–6) and appearances instead of faith? In what ways do the desires of our eyes and flesh tempt us to unbelief?
